About My Clients
I work with people from a variety of backgrounds, but have a special interest in working with those in helping and teaching professions. People who focus on taking care of others often end up having difficulty with their own self-care. I also particularly enjoy working with parents or guardians wanting to learn and practice different parenting techniques or need additional support.
My Background and Approach
In the past, I have worked with individuals, families, children/ teens, and couples, and have provided face-to-face and virtual visits; I am currently focusing on teletherapy (video and phone sessions) with individuals. In my practice, I have found teletherapy to be just as effective as face-to-face therapy. I often utilize CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) to help you get a better understanding of how your thoughts, feelings and behaviors are connected. Then we can look at how you can make specific changes, such as changing certain thoughts, that will lead to changes in unwanted feelings and behaviors. I also provide guidance and recommendations, such as teaching different coping skills.

I believe there is nothing more important than your mental health. Therapy is a process or journey, and I will be happy to accompany you on your journey. I do not discriminate against race, gender, gender identity, or religion/ belief. It will be my honor to work with you no matter what.
