About My Clients
I am experienced and passionate about treating a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning disorders and individuals with high functioning autism. I am particularly focused on helping individuals improve their self esteem. Whether it be for my passion for changing the stigma on men’s mental health, working performance anxiety in athletes at the highest level of their sports or helping high functioning individuals on the autism spectrum overcome their social anxiety.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Masters degree in Social Work at Simmons University, there I worked as an ABA provider to children on the Autism Spectrum. Since graduating I have been doing crisis work at The Justice Resource Institute with individuals struggling with various acute mental health challenges in addition to general outpatient psychotherapy. I completed my undergraduate degree at Boston University with a focus in health science. As an outpatient I like to use a strengths based perspective so that my clients are able to build on the positives they already have rather than focusing on defeats and feeding into a deficit mindset. In this way I help people move forward and build up towards more confidence and self efficacy. The goal is to create partnership with my clients and give them control over their sessions so that they can achieve the goals that they set.
