About My Clients
I welcome clients from many backgrounds beliefs. Many of my long-term clients are reflective and thoughtful, looking to better understand their behaviors, feelings and thoughts. They often look steady on the outside but feel stretched thin inside. Many are navigating identity shifts, burnout, grief, or relationship strain. Couples I work with care about each other but may feel stuck in repeating cycles. They want clarity and lasting change, not quick fixes.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. My work is attachment-informed and relational, drawing from psychodynamic and systems-based approaches. In individual therapy, we explore how early experiences and identity shape current patterns. In couples therapy, we identify the cycles beneath conflict and focus on deeper emotional needs rather than surface communication tricks. My clients often appreciate that I am thoughtful and direct without being harsh. My goal is not to fix you, but to help you understand yourself more clearly and move forward with intention and integration.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be collaborative, honest, and grounded in respect. I value nuance and complexity over rigid answers and approach my work with curiosity rather than judgment. I understand the impact of identity development and belonging. I am affirming of LGBTQ+ clients and supportive of diverse relationships. Outside of therapy, I value community, chosen family, and lifelong learning. Meaningful change happens slowly and intentionally, and I bring that belief into my work. Spending time in nature, caring for animals, and socializing with close friends are all things I enjoy.
