About My Clients
My clients are often thoughtful, reflective individuals who feel stuck in patterns shaped by trauma, stress, or life transitions. Many experience anxiety, overwhelm, or a sense of disconnection—from themselves, their bodies, or their relationships. They may be seeking deeper understanding, relief from longstanding patterns, or a more grounded way of moving through the world. Together, we work to slow things down, build safety, and support meaningful, sustainable change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in New York and Connecticut with over a decade of experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University and advanced post-master’s training in trauma-informed clinical practice from New York University. My approach integrates traditional talk therapy with mindfulness and body-based practices, recognizing that healing happens through both insight and embodied awareness. I draw from cognitive and trauma-focused frameworks while helping clients build nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and resilience. I value collaboration, curiosity, and pacing, and aim to create a therapeutic space that feels grounded, thoughtful, and supportive of meaningful, lasting change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is both a personal and collective process. Our emotional lives are shaped not only by individual experiences, but also by the systems, relationships, and environments we move through. I hold a strong commitment to social justice and approach therapy with awareness of how inequality and marginalization affect mental health and access to care. I believe the body holds essential knowledge. Influenced by mindfulness, yoga, and Eastern contemplative practices, my work emphasizes present-moment awareness, nervous system regulation, and compassion without religious framing. These practices support slowing down, listening, and responding with care rather than force. I also value connection to the natural world and believe access to nature is an important part of well-being. This commitment extends into my daily life, including caring for my three special needs cats.
