About My Clients
I often work with those who are struggling in their social or romantic lives to build confidence and gain a deeper understanding of how early relationships and experiences influence the challenges they face in the present. The clients I work with frequently feel removed from their values, lacking in confidence, and cutoff from themselves.
My Background and Approach
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from psychodynamic, CBT, and mindfulness-based modalities, tailoring treatment to the unique needs of each client. I hold the therapeutic relationship as a unique and essential platform from which to explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns. Previously, I have facilitating both group and individual therapy at a Jewish mental health agency, as well as in a music and art therapy setting for individuals with developmental disabilities. I currently work at Refresh Psychotherapy, offering remote and Telehealth services.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that most struggles, though not all, begin early on in life and solidify as we get older. I believe that these learned patterns - however deeply entrenched - often are understood at the subconscious level, and only need to be understood at the conscious level in order to be unlearned. I feel that each client has a unique set of challenges which must be addressed in a unique and collaborative manner. I do not believe there is any challenge that cannot be improved upon through a strong alliance between therapist and client and a mutual interest in realizing these improvements.
