About My Clients
Gambling or substance use may be affecting your finances, relationships, work, or sense of control. You may feel shame, anxiety, or uncertainty about change. I welcome adults and couples, including LGBTQIA+, trans, nonbinary, kink, and consensually non-monogamous clients. You are not broken. Together, we can reduce harm and build a recovery path grounded in your readiness, values, and goals.
My Background and Approach
I am an LCSW and PhD student in Expressive Therapies with a focus on gambling-related harm, substance use, and co-occurring concerns. I integrate motivational interviewing, CBT, harm reduction, recovery planning, narrative and parts-informed therapy, and intermodal expressive arts. Creative work is always invitational; no artistic experience is needed. I also offer Gottman-informed couples work and sex therapy–informed care, completing clinical sex therapy coursework under AASECT-certified supervision. I am pursuing ICGC certification and offer services in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I do not see you as the problem. Healing grows through safety, consent, curiosity, and choice. Gambling and substance use may be ways of surviving pain, stress, or disconnection; recurrence of use is information, not failure. I value harm reduction, bodily autonomy, multiple pathways to recovery, and LGBTQIA+-affirming, sex-positive, kink- and consensual non-monogamy–affirming care. Together, we can strengthen agency, self-trust, connection, and hope.
