About My Clients

My clients are diverse in multicultural factors and presenting concerns. Many folks come to me to work through anxiety, stress, and trauma (including with EMDR). I also work a lot with ADHD, attention, and executive functioning. But you might come in with challenges from depression, relationships, substance use, physical health concerns, or something that doesn't fit in a neat box. You bring yourself. We'll make sense of it together to get you where you want to go.

My Background and Approach

I like to say that I have clients, not modalities. I take a collaborative, goal-oriented approach. You'll find I am committed and responsive to your style and needs. While I offer empirically-based therapy, I do my best to keep the textbook out of session (please stop me if I start to nerd out!) and meet you as a fellow human on this wild journey of life. My generalist training has spanned inpatient and outpatient settings, small practices and interdisciplinary teams. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, doing both therapy and comprehensive psychological evaluations. Through guided mindfulness, learning coping skills and some deep emotional processing, my hope is to help you build the tools to thrive without me. Outside the office, I like to spend quality time with family and friends. In my free time (yeah, right), I enjoy writing about practical tools for managing stress and anxiety, with a relatable and lighthearted spin.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and genuine curiosity, regardless of their background, identity, beliefs, or life experiences. My approach is strongly influenced by Rogerian humanistic principles, particularly empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard for all. I see therapy as a collaborative relationship rather than a place where the therapist is the authority on someone else’s life. My role is to understand your experience without judgment, help you explore patterns with greater clarity, and create a space where you can be honest about who you are and what matters to you. I also believe good therapy should respect individual differences. There is no single way a person is supposed to think, feel, live, or heal. I aim to meet each client as an individual and approach our work with openness, humility, and respect.
