My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I have been a social worker for over 17 years, and have been providing psychotherapy for the last 11 years. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from The Florida State University (Go Noles!). My area of expertise is on the impact of health related conditions on quality of life, grief counseling, finding meaning and purpose, and utilizing mindfulness to feel physically safe in your body. I take an integrative approach to helping people with cancer, infertility, aging challenges, stress, and women’s reproductive health struggles. As a certified grief counselor, I work with people who are coping with the loss of a loved one (including pets!), the loss of meaning and purpose, and anxieties about aging and life transitions. I can also provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, as well as for Chronic Pain.
