About My Clients
Many of the women I work with are drawn to somatic work because they feel their body carries something they cannot fully tap into or resolve on their own. They sometimes find themselves feeling: ● disconnected from their body ● bothered by physical symptoms that won't go away ● burned out, chronically tired and sleeping poorly ● anxious, reactive or highly sensitive ● trapped in a loop of old survival patterns ● struggling to feel safe in relationships
My Background and Approach
As a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), I support women seeking greater nervous system regulation through an attuned, body-first approach. I help them ease emotional overwhelm and find more safety and connection within themselves, their bodies and their relationships. My speciality in childhood developmental and attachment trauma, as well as shock trauma, allows me to work with relational and survival patterns held in the body and the nervous system - the patterns that can continue to affect how we feel and respond to life despite what we already know and understand. Please note: I am a trauma-trained somatic therapist, not a licensed psychotherapist. My work is body-first, nervous system, trauma and attachment-informed healing, not clinical mental health treatment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in a slow and gentle approach, and I lead with compassion and care, striving to create a safe space to attend to the wounds that are not meant to be healed on our own. I'm also convinced that all of us have the innate resilience and capacity to overcome the grip of our past, and as we (re)discover it with the right support, we can find more ease, freedom and joy in being alive.
