About My Clients
I love working with queer and neurodivergent individuals, especially individuals who are just beginning to explore or understand their identities or may have doubts about if their experiences are “enough.” My clients often struggle to trust or listen to themselves and may have difficulty expressing their needs or setting boundaries. I find it meaningful to create a safe, consistent relationship for clients to explore their identities and practice advocating for themselves in real time with me.
My Background and Approach
Before becoming a therapist, I spent some years working within the disability community across the lifespan and through various organizations, both in the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicagoland. My work ranged from advocacy and policy to special education and direct care work. I bring these experiences and my admiration for social justice into my work now. I love to learn, and I bring this love of learning into the therapy room. I do this by bringing in relevant educational resources and offering them to clients when this feels helpful. Additionally, I continue my learning outside of my time with clients. In 2025, I completed a fellowship for Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and am currently enrolled in an advanced consultation group to understand the effects of trauma on individuals. My hope is that by continuing to learn, I can better myself as a therapist and become a more robust resource for my clients.
