About My Clients
Many of the people I work with are exhausted, often from holding things together for everyone else. A lot of them work in healthcare, therapy, or other helping professions, giving their attention away for years before turning any back toward themselves. Others come during grief, a life transition, or burnout that talk therapy alone hasn't touched. If your thoughts feel louder than your instincts, or you're craving something more grounded than another technique, this method is built for you.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate in Colorado, supervised while I work toward full licensure. I've trained for years in somatic therapy, eco-psychology and Internal Family Systems. I am a mindfulness meditation teacher, and a Natural Medicine Facilitator in training, for those who feel called to work with psilocybin mushrooms and ketamine assisted therapy as part of their healing path. We have an unconventional approach to therapy. Our work moves through four pillars, over four months: Mindset, Movement, Nurture, and Nature, giving structure to how we build these tools together over time. We'll pay attention to what's happening in your body and nervous system as much as your thoughts, because that's where a ton of information exists. My background includes hospice work, which shapes how steady I aim to be with whatever you bring into the room. My goal is for you to leave sessions with tequniques you can feel supporting your body, mind and Spirit.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I've been a questioner of spirituality since I was young, curious about what exists after death and curious about God. Nature has always been the church I felt most connected to, an easy place to find presence, the wind moving through the leaves, my feet bare on the ground. I believe healing rarely happens by thinking harder about our problems. It happens when we slow down enough to feel what's in the body and let the Earth remind us we belong to Her. I've spent years studying consciousness alongside neuroscience, and what I've come to understand is that we're capable of change whenever we choose it. I never wanted a typical therapy office, so I built a practice around walk and talk sessions outside, here in Colorado, where the natural world is so open to us. Outside of work, I have a garden, a husband I adore, and a sister we share our home with and 2 kittens. Being the person my clients open their hearts to is the honor of a lifetime.
