About My Clients
I work with adults (18+) in two complementary ways: proving skilled EMDR therapy to target trauma-related distress, and explorative relational therapy which uses psychoanalytic and existential theories to help understand repeating patterns, attachment, identity, and life direction concerns. My clients either do an EMDR-focused start, relational-focused work, or both as your needs evolve. I work with adults who are both aiming for lasting relief and a deeper understanding of themselves.
My Background and Approach
I currently offer therapy via secure telehealth for clients located in Massachusetts. The heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship itself— creating a space where clients feel listened to, understood, and supported. Our work together may include identifying and shifting self-limiting patterns, engaging in corrective relational experiences to address past neglect or trauma, fully resolving past traumatic/negative experiences using EMDR and other trauma therapy based techniques, exploring life, career, or relationship challenges, and reflecting on existential questions of self-identity and meaning.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in the inherent worth and intelligence of every human being I see. To that effect, for me the core of psychotherapy work is based upon utmost respect for the client, their experience, and what they want out of therapy. While I respect diagnosis and working with people to resolve what specifically made them come into therapy, my work focuses first on the person's experience and what they discuss with me rather than a diagnostic label. I also have extensively invested in my own personal psychotherapy so that I am able to be more present and self aware for my clients. If what I wrote above has resonated, you are very welcome to reach out to me via email or phone so we can set up a free 20-minute consult to discuss next steps and if we are the right fit.
