About My Clients
The people I work with are adults from all walks of life: caring, capable people who are often so busy looking after others that they’ve put themselves last. Some are facing a health diagnosis, some are supporting an aging parent or spouse, and some are navigating a major life change. Others simply feel stuck or worn down and are ready for a space that’s just for them. Whatever brings you here, you don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois with more than 20 years of experience supporting adults through life’s challenges. Over the years, I’ve worked with people at many different stages of life, and I have a special focus on anxiety, depression, life transitions, chronic illness, and caregiver stress, as well as the unique concerns of older adults. My approach is rooted in supportive therapy: a steady, compassionate space where you can talk openly, feel understood, and build on the strengths you already have. I bring both deep clinical experience and genuine respect for each person’s story, and I tailor our work to your goals, your pace, and what matters most to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Behind the credentials, I’m someone who believes deeply in the power of being heard. I value kindness, honesty, and the kind of steady presence that makes it safe to say what’s really on your mind, without judgment and without having to find the right words. I believe every person carries real strength, even when life feels heavy, and my role is to walk alongside you as you find it. I care about meeting people where they are. I’m not here to rush you or hand you a one-size-fits-all plan. I’m here to listen closely, to gently challenge when it helps, and to celebrate the small steps that add up to big change. I also believe there’s room for warmth, and even a little lightness, in the work of healing. After more than 20 years in this work, I still feel honored when someone trusts me with their story. Finding more balance, renewed hope, and more joyful moments is what I hope for every person who sits down with me.
