About My Clients

My clients are people who just want to feel better. Whether you feel stuck in your relationships, you’re struggling with past traumas and grief, or you want new expertise to manage ADHD and challenges with neurodiversity. I know that the biggest hurdle is often just reaching out. I offer a non-judgemental, culturally competent, trauma informed, LGBTQAI+ affirming, safe space to help you discover your way forward.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed counselor with over 8 yrs experience and I specialize in depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship/family issues, and cultural/racial women’s issues. I started my counseling career in inpatient hospital treatment, and have worked with families, children, and adults of all ages and backgrounds in outpatient, community based mental health, and private practice. My approach starts with getting to know your story and creating a non-judgemental safe space for you to express yourself. I use cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches to help clients increase their awareness and practice strategies to navigate life’s challenges. I’m an avid podcast listener, non-marathon runner, and food enthusiast who understands what it’s like to struggle with mental health. I offer no-cost consultation to answer any questions you may have and see whether my approach is a good fit for your needs.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has the right to their own beliefs, values, and choices to live life in the way they choose is best. I believe in supporting women through issues unique to their experience in today’s society, and that in order to best understand mental health needs we have to consider the whole person; their ethnicity, race, religion, and background. I know that we face complex challenges and stressors in today’s world, but I believe there is value in community and connecting with others in some way. In my personal experience, therapy can be one tool for growth, and it's what happens in life outside of session that truly affects lasting change. Personal growth and wellness are a part of my lifestyle, and I try to find laughter and small joys in my day to day.
