About My Clients
Are you looking for someone to listen? Maybe you are looking for an objective lens to view some challenges you are experiencing in life right now. Do you feel like you are walking this world by yourself? I can assure you that you are not alone, and that I and my fellow therapists are here to sit with you as you figure things out. I provide a safe space to listen, to give perspective, if asked, and to support you through whatever life throws towards you.
My Background and Approach
I have worked with adolescents and their families for 12 years as a school counselor. I am familiar with the struggles and challenges that present themselves to teens and their families such as identity development and discovery, depression, anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma, divorce, and parenting. My approach to individuals, couples, or families has a systems foundation in the sense that we are all a product of our family system and environments in which we exist. I am passionate about helping clients navigate their autonomy from their family units as they become adults, as well as helping clients of all ages with ADHD and executive functioning needs. Another area of interest for me is women's hormonal health and support, especially with PMDD and PPD and as they experience motherhood and parenting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent-affirming therapist and believe that the therapeutic relationship itself holds immense healing for clients who might not have a trusting relationship as a healthy example in their lives already. As a neurodivergent therapist myself, I believe that we are able to unmask and be our true authentic selves in session to do our best work together as a unit.
