About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity questions, and the lingering effects of trauma. My practice is grounded in anti-oppressive principles that acknowledge how systems of power and privilege impact mental health and wellbeing. I strive to create a therapeutic environment that feels safe, collaborative, and attuned to your unique cultural and social context.
My Background and Approach
Welcome! I believe that symptoms and struggles often carry important messages about unmet needs, unexpressed parts of self, and adaptive responses to difficult circumstances. Rather than simply managing distress, we'll work to understand its origins and meaning, creating space for parts of yourself that may have been silenced or forgotten. This process can help you develop a more compassionate relationship with all aspects of your experience. I practice from an integrative perspective that combines psychodynamic insight and relational approaches to support your journey toward deeper self-awareness and connection. Drawing from multiple therapeutic modalities, I tailor our work to meet you where you are, honoring both the conscious and unconscious forces that shape your experience. Whether you're seeking to understand recurring patterns, deepen your capacity for intimacy, or find more ease and authenticity in daily life, I'm here to accompany you in becoming more fully yourself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our lives are shaped by systemic narratives - stories about who we are, how we should behave, and what we should want - that frequently serve the interests of capitalism, patriarchy and white supremacy, even as we are powerfully attached to these narratives. When these narratives remain unconscious, we can experience guilt, shame, and disappointment when we don't live up to them or when our actions in accordance with these narratives isolate and alienate us further. Therapy gives us tools to examine our self-narratives, beliefs, and patterns; for many people, therapy is the first and safest space to begin this process of self-reflection. I support people interested in living with more awareness, understanding, and intention. Whether you're seeking to understand recurring patterns, heal from past experiences, or create more authentic ways of being in the world, we can work together toward greater self-knowledge and intentional living.
