About My Clients
Are you struggling with low mood, worries, low motivation, mood swings, attention issues, or poor sleep? Are your symptoms affecting your relationships, schoolwork, job, and day-to-day functioning? If so, I am happy to help you through your healing journey with supportive psychotherapy, medication management, and other holistic modalities. I care about my patients deeply and will provide a safe nonjudgmental space for you.
My Background and Approach
Trained at Johns Hopkins University and triple board-certified in psychiatry, family, and women's health, I have experience caring for a diverse client population. I use a holistic, whole-person approach, meaning that we not only focus on medication, but also on lifestyle and behavioral changes. When medication is recommended, our goal is to reduce side effects while maximizing the benefits. My specialties include depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and more. With extensive training in women’s health, I am uniquely qualified in the psychiatric care of women during pregnancy and postpartum. My clinical training sites include Johns Hopkins Hospital, Stanford Hospital, UCLA, Cedars Sinai, Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, and more.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You will find that I am curious, open-minded, inquisitive, and accepting. I care about my clients deeply and aim to build trust and respect within our therapeutic relationship. Having cared for patients from pediatrics to the elderly, pregnancy to post-menopause, I believe that emotional and mental-well being are essential throughout the lifespan and surrounding life transitions. Whatever your life circumstances or unique needs are, I strive to be empathetic and nonjudgmental while encouraging self-acceptance and compassion. I am currently accepting patients of all ages and can provide service in English and Mandarin.
