My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience. My journey in Human Services began in 1995, and I've been a Mental Health Therapist since 2002. I hold a Doctor in Nursing Practice degree and have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), family/marriage therapy, EMDR, indigenous mindfulness practices, and Qigong. My expertise lies in providing medication management, therapy, and biofeedback resources to create comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.

I am deeply committed to helping people overcome their struggles and live full, rich lives. My treatment philosophy centers on the belief that clients know themselves best, and I honor this by actively listening, supporting, and building treatment plans based on their strengths and goals. I start with gentle, least intrusive approaches and move to more intense treatments as needed. I value creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and validated. Additionally, I am passionate about advocating for mental health, continuous learning, and supporting causes that promote mental well-being and holistic health. My dedication to these principles ensures that I provide the best possible care to my clients.
