Caregivers in our early childhood development provide context for how individuals learn to adapt and cope in order to find ways to survive. I apply attachment theory to understand early childhood experiences and how that learning shows up in the present moment. I utilize this theory to explore relational trauma and work towards mind-body integration by coming from a place of curiosity and with a non-judgmental approach.

I collaboratively work with clients to assess personal goals and understand the meaning behind them. Motivational interviewing is effective when the client is understood and feels heard. I utilize active listening while providing clarifying questions to explore what clients are wanting to achieve. This approach is works to empower individuals and take control of their lives and believe in their own thought process.

Distress can happen when individuals find themselves living in paradox. The imbalance between two opposing points can create such distress that anxiety results and the individual living through the experience cannot find ways to move forward. Existential therapy helps to establish intrinsic meaning, driven by the individual, to understand what is important. Folx begin to move beyond their "stuck points" and understand their potential while utilizing the choices they have available.
