About My Clients
Painful and difficult emotions often arise after a particular experience or life event, but sometimes it is difficult to understand exactly where they came from. These difficult emotions often lead to a sense of stagnation in life and a sense of disconnect from yourself and/or your surroundings. My aim is to help you gain awareness into your inner universe in order to help connect with your most authentic Self.
My Background and Approach
I utilize integrative depth psychotherapy as my primary approach to treatment which combines aspects and techniques from different treatment modalities and allows for the therapeutic process to be tailored to each client's unique needs/experiences. Together we will collaborate towards your journey of self-discovery by exploring the depths of your inner universe, social/cultural constructs, and the patriarchal systems of power that may be contributing to anxiety and depression. I prioritize the therapeutic alliance and ensure that my time with you cultivates a safe and secure space that will allow you to access the most difficult parts of yourself in a deep and meaningful way at your own pace. In addition to depth/shadow work, we will discuss the stress response and techniques to self-soothe with the objective of integrating bind, body, and soul.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that from the moment we come into this earth we are flooded with external conditioning that leads to indoctrination as a result of a patriarchal/capitalist society. This impacts all of us. As a result we grow up feeling disconnected from our true selves, unaware of our true potential and power. We become disembodied and we lack the tools to feel our emotions in a healthy way. We become like computers who were wired and programmed to operate in a certain way. We all hold the power and ability to start the process of rewiring and reprogramming ourselves in order to meet our true authentic Selves. This can be a daunting and painful process which is why community and support is so important. As a first-generation Latina, I have felt the impacts of all of this, which in the past led to paralyzing anxiety and dark depressive episodes. Because of this I am passionate about supporting others in their own individual unique journey of healing and mind, body, and soul integration.
