About My Clients

Do you feel like you are living in the past, ruminating on mistakes and regrets? Are your emotional experiences often tied with physical pain and aches? Do you feel like you are doing everything you’re supposed to do in the present but it always seems like a monumental effort? I empathize with you. Adulting is hard! Emotions are real and valid! Let's cry, laugh, and process together and challenge our capacities for compassion, tolerance and adjustments to create more moments of meaningfulness

My Background and Approach

I am invested in helping you identify your pain and joyful point in areas including trauma; stress, anxiety, depression and mood swings; grief and loss; racial/cultural identity; family of origin/relationship; and self-esteem/self-worth, and life transitions. My goal is to help you build and strengthen your own unique toolkit to practice so you may enjoy a healthier lifestyle. We will explore the story of your challenges and difficulties, how they have transitioned/changed overtime, how they manifest in your life today and how to navigate with them moving forward. We will explore how to hold your strengths and vulnerabilities, celebrate your triumphs, and share a space where risks and mistakes can be empowering. My goal is to show you that second chances, recovery, reconnection and resilience are possible. I believe that my well-rounded, international, multicultural, and well-informed personal and professional background can help you explore different parts of yourself.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a first-generation immigrant, AAPI, Taiwanese, bilingual and multicultural Psychotherapist. Traveling independently for educational purposes has been both a privilege as well as a hardship. I have lived and studied in Taiwan, Malaysia, China, UK, Singapore, France, and now the US. I have learned and experienced how my tolerance and capacity can be pushed in a helpful and healthy vs harmful way. I have learned what it means to create a safe space for myself; hold feelings of self-doubt and insecurity; work through confusion, mistakes, uncontrollable forces and change; practice being accommodating and assertive; and be self-sufficient and ask for support. I understand the significance of duality. I am constantly inspired by people from different walks of life and embrace the opportunity to learn about diverse worldviews. I am affirming and culturally responsive. I strongly believe that we can contribute to one another's growth as we are all works in progress!
