My Background and Approach
My name is Eguenel Louis, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a baccalaureate in Psychology and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Lynn University. I have been working in the substance abuse field since 2010; I specially ins Substance Abuse Disorders and mental health. I wake up every morning looking forward to sharing a message of hope by helping my clients address their co-occurring disorders to reach long term sobriety and serenity by developing healthy coping skills. My approach with clients is often solution focused and goal oriented; I utilize an eclectic method to psychotherapy which incorporates cognitive behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, warm personal and unconditional positive regard interventions. Through a collaborative and supportive relationship, I empower my clients to identify areas in their lives they want to change.

Through a collaborative and supportive relationship, I empower my clients to identify areas in their lives they want to change and to help get them get "unstuck" from negative core beliefs, patterns and behaviors that are no longer serving them. I am fluent in English, French and Creole. Above all things, I am a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ.
