About My Clients

I’m passionate about helping LGBTQIA+ folx, non-monogamous and kinky adults, and neurodivergent clients improve their self-esteem, process through trauma, and exist in a space that can be cultivated for further authenticity and self-love.

My Background and Approach

I love learning about the brain and its softer side of mind, consciousness, and emotions as well as its more concrete side of thoughts, chemicals, and neural pathways. My deep interests in brain structure and chemicals, validating human behavior and lived experiences, and creating a more holistic view of health and self are essential to my journey as a therapist. My work focuses on deepening my client’s relationships with themselves through creating boundaries, modifying negative self-thoughts, and cultivating an experience of self-care and self-compassion. I believe in taking a collaborative approach that affirms my client as an expert in themselves while also existing as an “auditor” of the stories that may not be as kind or truthful as we believe them to be. My clients tell me that I have a calming presence, and that I'm great at offering another perspective in order to challenge their negative self-beliefs in a supportive and compassionate way.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we're a collection of our experiences, and what those experiences mean for us. So much of my work has been focused on "becoming" and "un-becoming" who we are expected to be according to those who are closest to us. The stories that we tell ourselves become our reality... and reality is dependent on which narrator is speaking. I believe that so much healing can happen from understanding which stories we have been given by others, compassionately auditing them and grieving our own expectations ("I should have...", "What if...?"), and creating a story where we are valued, loved, and connected to safe others. I hope to work together with my clients to challenge their stories, prioritize their own empowerment, and cultivate healing and change in manageable ways. I'm passionate about self-care and canceling productivity/hustle-culture, I have two dogs that will occasionally walk into frame, and I love to bake.
