About My Clients

Although therapy is especially helpful when we face adversity and suffering, therapy can bring awareness, clarity, and meaning to our experiences no matter what season of life we are in. To accomplish this, my clients engage in a style of therapy defined by presence, connection, and mutual reflection. I primarily work with young professionals who are experiencing a variety of clinical concerns, but especially those who have experienced trauma. I predominately see my clients via telehealth.

My Background and Approach

I look to cultivate a space for authenticity and vulnerability by focusing on the present together. This space allows folks to make contact with their deeper selves and experience how they show up in the world. By attuning to this awareness together, we can face your most rejected parts, develop insight into what matters most, and make your suffering more manageable. We do this by focusing on all parts of your experience, exploring how your past continues to affect your present, and challenging the ways we repress and avoid—all the while fostering a relationship that is nonjudgemental, safe, and accepting. My professional training was split between the gestalt and psychodynamic traditions, which both inform my approach to treatment. I also have trained in IFS, AEDP, and coherence therapy, which have all deepened my experiential repertoire. Otherwise, my background is largely informed by my own experiences in therapy and a passion for holistic care.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that therapy should be more than symptom management. It must be more than a collection of tools to help one “get through” one adversity just to find another. In these ways, I also believe that significant and meaningful change is possible, but it must come from awareness, experience, and a type of self-compassion that recognizes the whole self. I further recognize that our whole selves are complex—but not chaotic. In this way, by observing ourselves and deepening our experiences, we often find that we not only make sense, but that we have also been trying our best all along.
