About My Clients
You’re navigating exhaustion shaped by racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or being the “only one” in rooms never built for you. You carry leadership, caregiving, and survival at once—often code-switching, shrinking, or overperforming to stay safe. You’re asking: How do I heal racial and identity-based trauma, set boundaries without guilt, honor my gender and sexuality, and live aligned with my values without burning out or disappearing—and where is God in all of this?
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed psychotherapist with a PhD in psychology, religion, and culture, offering care at the intersection of mental health, identity, leadership, and faith. My work centers racial, gender, and sexual minority experiences, with particular attention to identity-based trauma, burnout, grief, and vocational discernment. Drawing from liberation psychology, somatic and narrative approaches, systems theory, and spiritually integrated care, I help clients make meaning of their stories while tending the body, boundaries, and beliefs that shape daily life. Therapy with me is collaborative, culturally grounded, and honest—welcoming your questions about God, justice, and belonging. Together we work toward healing that is not just symptom relief, but wholeness, agency, and a life aligned with your values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when we’re able to tell the truth—about our pain, our joy, our faith, and our questions. I value justice, dignity, and compassion, and I try to live those out in how I show up with people and in the world. I hold a deep respect for the ways race, gender, sexuality, culture, and power shape our lives, and I believe none of us are meant to carry that weight alone. My faith matters to me, but it’s not rigid or performative—I make space for doubt, anger, hope, and grace. In daily life, I practice slowing down, staying connected, and choosing integrity, trusting that healing grows when we live honestly, rest well, and remain rooted in community.
