About My Clients
My clients often occupy multiple identities: queer, trans, neurodivergent, or all three. They've survived systems that weren't built for them and carry wounds from being misunderstood, pathologized, or erased. Maybe they're navigating polyamory, deconstructing old beliefs, or simply exhausted from masking. They're ready to stop performing normalcy, and start reclaiming hidden parts of themselves. They want a therapist who gets it. Do you?
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans and have practiced since 2021. My therapeutic approach draws from narrative, existential, humanistic, and trauma-informed modalities. I've honed in on these approaches after researching the key ingredients to effective therapy: a strong therapeutic relationship, and collaboration on your goals. I specialize in trauma, LGBTQ+ affirming care, and neurodivergence, working within frameworks of social justice, intersectionality, and liberation. I'm sex-positive, and fluent in ethical non-monogamy as well as kink dynamics. This integration lets me meet you wherever you are, whether you're untangling generational wounds, navigating neurodivergent burnout, reconstructing identity, or exploring sexuality. You deserve a therapist who doesn't require translation of your lived reality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I understand how powerful it can be to have a therapist who shares some of your identity markers or lived experience, which was precisely what inspired me to become a therapist in the first place. I've sat in the client seat, worked hard to heal and to find myself, then went on to become educated and trained as a therapist. Now I'm lending a hand to others on their journey. Ultimately, my goal is to help you, not to talk about me. However, should we have a consultation, I encourage you to ask questions about my identity or lived experiences if you genuinely believe it will help you make an informed decision about whether I would be the right fit for you. I will maintain boundaries about the details, but you are welcome to the broad strokes.
