About My Clients
Do you ever feel overwhelmed, or afraid? Addiction, Trauma, & mental health issues happen too many of us. I work with treatment-resistant situations, and many of my clients have had a lack of success in treatment before. If you are coming to see me then you probably have been through Trauma, PTSD, Addiction, or other major life adjustments. Very experienced with ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, Autism. I tend to see people who work hard dealing with hard things, giving it all they have. Give me a call!
My Background and Approach
I use Internal Family Systems, EMDR, Emotional Parts Work, DBT & Somatic techniques to help my clients through treatment-resistant problems. Since many of my clients have had previous treatment, it is vital that we work together to develop an individual plan to find success. It doesn't matter how long you have struggled, or what you have done. You can find healing and peace. Since 2014 I have been producing and hosting The Broken Brain, a podcast focused on the intersection of psychology & culture. Episode topics include trauma, addiction, different modalities of treatment, etc, the psychological elements of pop culture & movies, and more. There are interviews with psychologists, therapists, authors, artists, and filmmakers. There are also regular dives into the history of psychology. I have also been fortunate to be the producer of the podcast for the Waismann Method rapid-detoxification clinic in Los Angelas, and The Rise Today Inspirational Podcast with Dr Erica Harris.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a believer in equality and social justice. I am neurodivergent myself, with Bipolar Disorder and ADHD, and I love helping others to feel healthy internally and connected to the world around them. I am committed to ending shame and focusing on the strengths we have from our personality, traits, and even our diagnosis. The biggest strength of my practice is a supportive and nonjudgmental environment. It was due to luck that I was raised in an environment that was opposed to judging others, and since meeting hundreds of individuals over the years I have come to feel like every person is fascinating, every person has the seeds of healing & happiness inside of them. I believe in second, third, fourth, and as many chances as we need to recover and succeed.
