About My Clients
My practice is a modern, trauma-informed place with individualized goals. I work with ADHD, Bipolar Disorder, and addiction. There are many modern trauma techniques that are helpful, such as EMDR, DBT, & Internal Family Systems (IFS). Court-Ordered Services are available as well, including substance abuse assessments, mental health evaluation, outpatient therapy, Prime For Life/DUI Classes, co-parenting, and parent-child reunification counseling. Documentation also available for probation.
My Background and Approach
Just starting a "Sober for the Holidays" group, a Harm Reduction based approach to navigating holiday related stress and how it interacts with addiction. I help people with trauma, addiction, and major life changes. Some struggle with depression, ADHD, abuse recovery, religious trauma, reactions of loved ones to coming out, and much more. It is my job to help with those things. I'm good at it, and I bet you are good at being you. So let's combine our expertise. Since 2014 I have been producing The Broken Brain Podcast, a show themed around on psychology & culture, including trauma, addiction, types treatment, and more. There are interviews with psychologists, therapists, authors, artists, and filmmakers, and history of psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have Bipolar Disorder & ADHD, and I love helping others to feel balanced, regulated, and connected to the world around them. We will work together to interrupt the shame and focus on strength you have from your personality, traits, and even diagnoses. You will never be judged in our sessions. Since meeting hundreds of individuals over the years I have come to feel like every person is fascinating, every person has the seeds of healing & happiness inside of them. I believe in second, third, fourth, and as many chances as we need to recover and succeed. I help with Addiction recovery, Social Skills, Relationship-building, Emotional Regulation, Communication using various tools. Modern therapy encompasses techniques like mind-body connection, focus on present elements of the trauma, and activity based techniques such as EMDR, IFS, Somatic work, and gamifying solutions.
