About My Clients
At Prosper Counseling we realize that one type of therapy does not fit all clients. Individual therapy is as individual as the client. We develop treatment plans to the person sitting in front of us in a collaborative manner. While we do specialize in certain areas as individual counselors, we are prepared to serve the needs of those that are willing to help in the process.
My Background and Approach
Graduating from Troy University's LMHC program at the masters level has prepared me to treat my clients in a holistic way using different modalities as the situation requires. This includes providing clients with the necessary tools to continue healing and growing after our sessions together are done. Solution focused therapy is used to eliminate any barriers to working on the the possible cause of the problem that is presenting through the use of direct, honest communication. This type of approach can by used on several concerns that you may come to the office for in a collaborative manner.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
It is my belief that the stigma for mental health needs to be changed. We all have issues of some degree and need to be more accommodating in how we treat each other. When we can have the ability to have open, honest, and direct communication, we can work towards healing ourselves, our families, communities and our society. This ultimately begins with self awareness.
