About My Clients
I am LGBTQ+ positive and competent. I truly enjoy working with teens from 13 to 21 years old. I have worked with a wide variety of clients, including Latino and white populations. I have also worked with clients of teenagers who are transgender, gender non-binary, and same-sex attracted.
My Background and Approach
I have in the past worked as a school social worker as therapist, and at a mental health clinic in Orlando, FL. I currently work with clients who are or were previously unhoused. My Preferred types of therapy are family systems therapy to treat and have in the awareness the entire family as whole. I also believe in using narrative therapy, which I have found quite effective with the LGBTQ+ populations I have worked with
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My approach is to question and let the client lead me to where they want to reach, to increase their mental awareness and in their environment. I am originally from New Mexico and I graduated from high school in Florida. I have a love for the gym and was previously a personal trainer. I do enjoy the camera and taking photos. I currently enjoy seeing live theater. I also have a taste for music at almost any moment of the day. I am currently practicing to become bilingual in Spanish.
