About My Clients
Most of my clients have been teenagers. I work with many families and help them navigate through their struggles. I have experience assisting the LGBTQ+ community. I also have personal experience with adoption. I have helped clients navigate through struggles such as depression and anxiety, and suicidal and self-harming thoughts.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in helping students at a high school as a Social Worker in community-based mental health programs. I like to and currently work with families and adolescents. My approach to self-empowerment involves planning for the future and living in the present. It's also important to recognize our past experiences to help us understand where we are currently, and use these experiences to change the outcome of the future. I have experience in using Narrative Therapy Modality to help shape our future of where we want our lives to end up. I also have experience in using the Adolescent Community and Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA) Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all a part of a community and I believe everyone deserves to have the right to choose. The choices we make now effect our future, and the choices we made in the past affect our lives as they are now. I believe that some choices were made for us that also affect us where we are now. I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community. I currently volunteer with my county commissioner in Orlando, where I help to participate in community cleanups monthly and weekly. I believe in a strong chosen family. I am a strong believer that everyone needs a hobby for something they love to do, whether they get paid to do it or not. This gives people purpose for them to have something to look forward to; In turn, this creates less boredom and keeps people moving forward in life in a healthy and positive way.
