About My Clients

My ideal client is an adult individual or couple wanting to better understand themselves. Someone navigating a life transition, wrestling with identity, carrying minimized pain, or stuck in patterns they can't name. I'm especially drawn to those treated like a collection of symptoms rather than a person. I work with all genders, am inclusive of diverse backgrounds and identities, and am comfortable exploring gender, sexuality, intimacy and relationships as part of holistic care.

My Background and Approach

We are a reflection of our worldviews: how we groom and present ourselves, what we eat, think about, and do for work and fun. Each of those things are an expression of our values, how we see the world, and how we want the world to see us. Counseling helps you understand who you are and how you can best relate to the world. I bring a background in organizational psychology and behavioral change, meaning I understand how people function in systems, relationships, and under pressure. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, and relationships including intimacy. My approach is integrative, using the theories and tools that fit you specifically. I work from a framework that treats your experience as unique, dynamic, and too complex to reduce to a checklist. Whether you are an individual or a couple, curious or skeptical, I meet you where you are. My goal is to help you understand yourself clearly enough to move forward with intention.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people are not broken. They are shaped by experiences, systems, and worldviews that sometimes stop serving them. Change is always possible, and it rarely looks the same twice. I am Buddhist and Stoic in my personal philosophy, which means I believe in looking inward honestly and then doing something useful with what you find. I am a lifelong learner and a genuinely curious person. I think curiosity might be the most underrated human superpower. I am a proud supporter of the LGBTQIA+ community, and I have a particular place in my heart for those healing from religious trauma and for people who think differently than the world expects them to. If you have ever been told you are too much, too analytical, too sensitive, or too complicated, you might be exactly who I work best with. I also believe that laughter belongs in the therapy room, and that healing does not have to be heavy all the time.
