About My Clients
I work with women in major transitions in their lives. End of a relationship, divorce, existential crisis, or a devastating diagnosis that has changed everything. I specialize in working with women diagnosed with Herpes and created an online course to help provide support. I help people connect with the struggle and hunker down to find the purpose within it. You are not going to be wallowing in weeks, months, or years of agony because there is a way you can make it work for you.
My Background and Approach
The tools I'll provide you are tools that I've used to help women get through major transitions in their lives. Like direction? I got you. Like an involved approach? That's me. I'm not a sugar coater. The only thing you get from a sugar coating is a toothache, and how well has that been working for you? I'm approachable, use humor when appropriate, and I'm dedicated to you creating the life that works for you. I've been a social worker for over half of my life. I love this work. I love your stories and I love getting to know you. I was trained in Gestalt and psychedelic therapy (look that one up!) and I really find it to be helpful to assist in identifying patterns in your life that are no longer helpful to you. They are there for a reason, and we'll explore that, but we will also try to get you back to feeling better and leaving that behind where it belongs. That said, I'm a chameleon and use other methods that I've been taught along the way that I think might support you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Dominican Republic) and AmeriCorps NCCC alum. Serving the community and world we live in is important to me. I am also a COVID19 long hauler. I have a lot of compassion of what it's like to live with a chronic illness. I believe that we all have to contribute to the well-being of everyone and am committed to anti-racism work and learning.
