About My Clients

My ideal clients are navigating the unique weight of minority stress and the toll it takes on mental health, identity, and relationships. I work with LGBTQIA+ individuals healing from religious or sexual trauma, working through coming out, or untangling shame-based beliefs that have quietly shaped their lives. Many struggle with social anxiety, depression, or relational and sexual concerns rooted in their experiences.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Salt Lake City with experience supporting individuals navigating some of life's most complex and tender challenges. My background spans direct clinical work, supervision, and a deep commitment to affirming care for marginalized communities. My approach is eclectic and deeply personalized. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities including ACT, EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy, weaving together what will serve you best rather than forcing your experience into a single framework. Everything I do is anchored in trauma-informed care and genuine compassion. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is one of the most powerful catalysts for change. I bring both warmth and directness to every session, creating space where honesty is welcomed and growth feels possible.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I became a therapist because I know firsthand what it feels like to grow up queer in Utah, carrying shame and feeling othered by the world around you. As a gay man, I bring lived experience to this work that goes beyond clinical training. I am deeply passionate about social justice and believe that every person deserves to live a life fully liberated from fear, shame, and oppression. The systems and messages that tell queer people they are too much, not enough, or fundamentally broken are ones I have wrestled with myself. That personal history is what drives me to show up fully for my clients every single day. Therapy, at its best, is an act of resistance. It is a space where you reclaim your story, challenge what you were told about yourself, and step into a life that is authentically and unapologetically yours.
