About My Clients
Many of my clients have experienced guilt around not being able to do what others in their lives seem to easily do (be on time, get boring I mean.. everyday tasks done (ADHD anyone?), or focus in a room with blaring lights, strong perfume, and knowing what to say admist a crowd of people. Can't promise you a magic wand wave, but most clients report an increased self acceptance around (being LGBTQ+, BIPOC, neurospicy) and ability to work with (rather than against) their autism, APD, adhd etc.
My Background and Approach
In my book, there are two types of therapy. The first, where someone will sit with you in the darkest recesses of your life. To hold.. that that was hard, and that happened. To empathize, and to help you see in what ways that may have made you feel like diamond covered in the mud. Strong, maybe hardened, and beneath it all, a shine the world would be lucky to see. The second part, is now that we know that- even if it scary, how to clean that diamond off together, and show the world the treasure underneath. We can go where you want to go; start, stop or leap! when you want to on this journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that for most of us, it's as we've got a thousand doors right in front of us that we can open at any time. Sometimes you discover you've entered a door to a place you'd rather not be, but there's always another door to possibly a better place to open. Besides helping others find healing and safe places to grow; dancing, climbing, baking, crafting, and lots of laughter bring joy to my life.
