About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Howard University, my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore, and my Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech. I utilize evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method. I have clocked thousands of hours researching, training, and creating unique tools, and counseling techniques that will help you overcome online addictions, cyberbullying, and online affairs. After 10 years of research I have developed three counseling programs; #InternetProofTeens to combat cyberbullying and online safety, #InternetProofRelationships- to overcome or prevent online affairs, and #InternetProofRecovery program- to battle online addictions (porn, gaming, gambling, cybersex, and social media). Each program is tailored to your specific needs and goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In this era of escalating negative internet behaviors, the Internet has torn relationships and families apart by causing trust issues, feelings of betrayal, lack of quality time, and depression. My mission is to help men, women, and teens stop the internet from being a problem in their life or relationship. When we are experiencing distress we sometimes lose sight of our strengths and let the negative feelings and situations take over. I am here to remind you of your strengths, develop solutions, and provide guidance and support so you can renew, rebuild, or recover from your personal or relational challenges caused by the Internet or Social Media. My clients have said that they appreciate my honesty, genuineness, and sense of humor. I want my clients to always know that my couch is a "judgment free zone."
