Components of holistic practices such as cognitive, emotional, behavioral, social, spiritual, artistic and physical can help you gain hope and better more authentic live experiences.
My Background and Approach
My educational knowledge as a clinical psychologist is only one component to treat different mental health issues. More importantly, I have learned throughout my professional experience that each person seeking therapeutic help, is an individual with a unique set of not only difficulties and weaknesses but also strengths, talents and abilities to improve life experiences to become more resilient and happier. My approach is to first listen carefully to your own problem perceptions and desired changes so that you can begin to regain hope of feeling understood. Then, I will offer tools suited to you to overcome fear, stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, eating disorders, addictions, or relationship issues. The greatest outcome may be your beginning to believe in yourself, face challenges despite possible fear, gain motivation and stamina to deal with any obstacles in your way and feel the fire in your heart which propels you to pursue your own important truths.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that anyone who may seek help can achieve better outcome. My clients have an inner knowledge which may not be conscious at the time they seek treatment but with help, they can uncover their own truths about making positive and desired changes in their lives. You are capable of exploring your values and what brings you true happiness. It takes some initial courage despite fear to allow for desired changes. I do believe that we all present to therapy with different degrees of resistance, but with collaborative work the resistance is transformed to courage, action, changed perceptions and behaviors and perhaps adopting different values, according to each individual's own truths. As a professional, I do not give up on individuals who may still be resistant, fearful, lacking hope that they can achieve better outcome or be helped by professionals due to past experiences. My ultimate goal is to help you help yourself as we all deserve better lives!
