I have been working with individuals and couples since 2001 who have infertility issues, are seeking to adopt, needing support regarding adoption issues, and birth parent(s) who are in the decision making phase. Knowing that you have support and expert guidance is important as you navigate these important life moments. I have worked with neonatal hospitals, adoption agencies, and foster care agencies and have provided subject matter expertise to assist clients while navigating these issues.

The loss of a child is heartbreaking. Learning to navigate the complex range of emotions felt can be daunting. I have helped thousands of women, men and couples through this process and while they learn to find hope and healing. Working in a Women's Hospital and NICU for over 15 years has provided me with the first hand knowledge of what parent(s) experience as a result of an infant loss. I will provide you with a guided framework for navigating these feelings and help you find hope healing.

I believe that change begins with the individual desiring change. If you want to change, you can make the changes necessary in your life to accomplish your goals. I have been trained and teach motivational interviewing as a technique to make immediate changes in an individual's life. This approach allows the individual create their own goals and plan for accomplishing those goals, giving complete control to the individual. As your therapist, I am here to support, guide, and encourage you.

Unhealthy behaviors are often learned patterns of behavior and responses. Those behaviors can be changed by examining how you think and respond to your environment. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, you will be able to immediately challenge your unhealthy thinking and learn skills to healthier cognition and how to channel those new healthy thinking patterns into positive behavioral responses.

No one wants to be in therapy forever. In fact, therapy should not be forever and you should be able to learn valuable skills and solutions that will support you living your best life. Solution Focused Brief Therapy is based on the skills that you already possess but may not utilizing or maximizing. I will teach you how to recognize your own skills/tools, how to sharpen those skills/tools, and offer new skills/tools that will support you accomplishing your goals.
