About My Clients
I enjoy working with all kinds of families. My focus is on children/adolescents. However, sometimes my work can be with parents and/or the whole family, too. I have particular expertise in Autism assessments, ADHD evaluations, and other psychological testing services. It is satisfying to be able to help my clients learn and grow, and get the proper supports. I do accept a limited number of therapy patients, as well. This can be very flexible with schedule and needs.
My Background and Approach
I use many tools and skills as an experienced psychologist to help my clients/families. Often, I start with a very curious, collaborative, and supportive approach. As we build our relationship and get to know each other, I typically blend very concrete and tangible tools to help reduce problems and increase skills. I like to empower my clients/families, so we often set goals together and problem solve barriers in a collaborative way. When engaging a client/family for psychological testing, I start with a clear question that needs answering. For example, a teacher has concerns about ADHD or parents and pediatricians are worried about a child's development. I use only evidence-base, up-to-date testing tools and protocols to evaluate each child individually. Testing concludes with a clear and thorough discussion and recommendations for the future.
