About My Clients
I work best with individuals and couples who are open to reflection, ready to dig deep, and tired of surviving cycles they didn't create but want to break. My clients are often smart, self-aware people who can see the pattern but haven't been able to change it on their own. My Background and Approach
I help individuals and couples who keep finding themselves in the same painful relational patterns. Whether you're stuck in a situationship that won't solidify, caught in a pursue-withdraw cycle with your partner, or drawn to emotionally unavailable people, there is an attachment pattern driving it. My work is about understanding that pattern and building the capacity for something more secure. With nearly 20 years in social work and over a decade of direct clinical practice, I specialize in attachment-based therapy using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment theory. I earned my MSW and DSW from the University of Kentucky. I am the founder of Curative Counseling and creator of the Situationship-Attachment Recovery Model (SARM), a clinical framework that maps how attachment patterns shape dating behavior and relationship cycles. My style is direct, warm, and grounded. I'm not the therapist who just nods along. I ask real questions, of
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
To me, it's never too late to make positive changes in one's life. In my opinion, the human mind has unlimited possibilities. I believe that the primary cause of mental health problems is our ability to learn harmful habits over time. Therefore, I believe that unhealthy habits can be unlearned and replaced with more positive ones. Send me a message if you're interested in discussing how I might be able to assist you.
