About My Clients
I work with thoughtful, capable adults and college-age students who may look put together on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, self-critical, or stuck underneath. Many struggle with overthinking, relationship stress, burnout, difficult decisions, perfectionism, or major life transitions. I help clients understand the patterns keeping them stuck, build practical skills, and respond differently so insight leads to meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I'm a California-licensed clinical psychologist and Indian-American/South Asian-American man based in San Francisco. My training includes an APA-accredited doctoral program, VA predoctoral internship, and VA postdoctoral fellowship, followed by nine years in Kaiser Permanente Adult Outpatient Psychiatry. I draw from ACT, CBT, psychodynamic and relational therapy, mindfulness, and culturally responsive approaches. My style is warm, direct, and active: we work to understand deeper patterns, build practical skills, and turn insight into changes that show up in daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe most people are doing the best they can with the awareness, tools, and support available to them—and that meaningful change often begins with honest curiosity rather than self-criticism. I value openness, humility, respect, and compassion, and try to bring those values into both my clinical work and daily life. Yoga and meditation have strengthened my interest in the mind-body connection, while travel, continued professional learning, and exposure to new perspectives help me stay curious and flexible. I welcome people across identities and backgrounds and aim to create a space where you can think deeply, speak honestly, and move toward a life that feels more intentional and grounded.
