About My Clients
My clients have been having difficulties with daily tasks, maybe on school or at work. They are having difficulties understanding what is happening and why are they different from others, or not as they used to be. They have noticed this for a while now and no other physicians seem to have the answers for their questions. They want to know what else can be done and how can they gain or regain independence.
My Background and Approach
I help children 5+ years to elderly adults to understand how their brain is working, identify the challenges and work with their strengths to overcome and or improve their limitations. My clients will have the opportunity to explain their concerns and I will assess them with specialized tools that will provide me enough information to give them individualized and tangible recommendations to follow through after the assessment is finalized. I have worked with individuals with diagnosis such as neurodevelopmental delays, ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, TBI's, dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, among others. My clients typically finish evaluations in one or two sessions and then a feedback session is conducted to discuss the results of the assessment. The process is not usually more than a month after the first session. You do not have to feel scary, on the contrary, you will feel relief in the end knowing what path to take and how to move forward.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Been born in Puerto Rico and coming from a Hispanic family, permits me to have a broader and diverse perspective of the individuals stands point. I can understand you better and you can communicate your needs in your own language, trusting that your clinician will understand were you come from.
