About My Clients
In my practice I specialize in the treatment of adults dealing with anxiety, depression, adjustment to major life transitions, and relationship issues. These difficulties, along with life's everyday stressors, can greatly impact your ability to enjoy life. Through therapy you will learn behavioral strategies and coping skills needed to achieve your goals, helping you to live a more fulfilled life.
How I Can Help You
If you struggle with overwhelming feelings and you aren’t quite sure how to cope, counseling could be exactly what you need. You will learn and develop new behavioral strategies and emotional coping skills needed to achieve your goals, relieve your symptoms, and improve your life. I help my adult clients by providing a safe, supportive environment in which they will feel stronger and more well-equipped to tackle issues such as anxiety, depression, and/or addiction. I believe in a collaborative, non-confrontational, client-centered approach. You and I will work together, as a team, to meet your goals and help you feel better using evidence-based treatments.
Why I Became a Therapist
The positive transformation that occurred during my own therapeutic process is why I chose to become a clinical psychologist. I believe my own struggles made me a better therapist as I am able to empathize and connect with my clients in a unique way. Being a psychologist has meant significantly helping people improve their lives. I can't think of a better way to live my life than helping others. Helping people overcome their challenges and knowing that I provided something good in my little part of the world is extremely fulfilling. My favorite part of what I do is the authenticity that comes with a therapeutic relationship – really feeling connected to people and feeling humbled and honored to be a part of their journey through life. Being a therapist is amazing, because every day I get to have meaningful, sometimes life-changing, one-to-one conversations with people about what really matters to them.
