About My Clients
You may be used to staying strong for everyone else. You pour into others, keep going when you're exhausted, and carry responsibilities that few people truly see. Over time, that kind of weight can leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, discouraged, or simply worn out. My Background and Approach
I believe healing happens within safe, collaborative relationships where you are treated with compassion, dignity, and respect. Every person's story is unique, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs, strengths, and goals. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, strengths-based and empowerment-focused approaches, along with culturally responsive care that honors your lived experiences. My work is informed by nearly 30 years of serving individuals, families, and communities affected by trauma, addiction, injustice, and significant life stress. Through experience in clinical practice, higher education, leadership, ministry, and community service, I've witnessed both the resilience people carry and the burdens they often bear. When it supports your goals, I may also incorporate reflection and journaling to deepen insight and encourage lasting growth. For clients who desire it, Christian faith can be integrated in
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people deserve places where they can lay down what has been heavy and be met with dignity, compassion, and care. My values are rooted in faith, service, justice, and the belief that healing is possible. I care deeply about creating a space that is culturally responsive, emotionally safe, and grounded in respect. My work has been shaped by years of walking alongside individuals, families, and communities impacted by trauma, addiction, injustice, and life transitions. I also understand that faith and leadership should be sources of healing, not harm. I believe hope is sacred, restoration is possible, and no one should have to journey alone.
