About My Clients

Are you struggling feeling connected with the little one that has been added to your life? Have you been struck by surprise with frustration or depression more times that you can count since wanting to become a parent? I wonder if you've been afraid to tell anyone because you thought, "I should be grateful to be a parent" or "people will think I'm a bad parent." I know that you love your child even through the hardest days. Together, we will help you be the parent you were meant to be.

My Background and Approach

Let's be done with you questioning your parenting. I will create a safe space for you be with your child judgement free. Together, we will help your bond with your child in a way that fosters their growth and helps them listen to you the first time. I can handle anyting that you tell me, and I will be with you as you learn to interact with your child through their eyes. I have been specilizing in early childhood and parenting attachment since 2010. There is a way for you to break free from the restraints of your parenting past. I can help you explore the different pathways to healthy parenting. Sometimes that means exploring your beliefs about parenting and what you experienced as a child. Whatever we reveal, I will be along side you in your journey, lighting the way. I will provide you with a safety net to explore your options and gently challenge when opportunities for you to grow as a parent are presented.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am Black cisgender woman originally from the DC/Maryland area who believes in the ongoing pursuit of cultural humility. It is my belief that all people have the capacity for growth and change. If I did not believe that, I would not be such a strong advocate for safety and social-emotional development of children, especially Black children. Because of that, I specialize in perinatal, trauma, and infant mental health for culturally, racially, and linguistically marginalized families. I use both English and American Sign Language. As a person with intersecting identities from historically marginalized groups, I am passionate about serving similar populations, disrupting the generational transmission of trauma, and facilitating healthy social-emotional development from conception through adulthood. I support equal rights. In my work, I focus on coaching parents to support the development of their children. To learn more about how I can help you, send me a message.
