It is tough to live life to its fullest when you are constantly overwhelmed, depressed, or anxious. Many people are so consumed with helping other people at work and at home that they stop living their life or following their own dreams. When you have other people to take care of, you often spend more time thinking about what they need and forgetting you have needs to take care of as well. I help people live in the present moment and to find balance in their lives, while still helping others.
My Background and Approach
Dr. Rodriguez is an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with a demonstrated history of working with people of different genders and backgrounds with mental health interventions. My specialty is helping people overcome anxiety and depression associated with compassion fatigue. Though my therapy, I have been able to help people find balance in their lives so they can be more effective helpers without sacrificing their whole selves. I offer a judgement free zone to help people through some of the most difficult times they will ever experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that most people are not living up to their full potential. Many people need to look at the world and their experiences from a different angle and learn new ways to view their life circumstances. I have volunteered with at-risk youth and families throughout my life, helping them break negative cycles. I have been advocating, marching, and fighting for the equality of all humans since I was a child. I will always stand up and be a voice for the people who are unable to speak up for themselves. My passion has led me to speak at local, state, and national platforms about stresses faced by marginalized groups.
