About My Clients
I am deeply passionate about my work with you individually or in relationships, and genuinely enjoy being part of your journey. The therapeutic relationship is the focus of my practice as I thrive to provide you with a safe, kind, nonjudgemental space. Allowing you to grow, and to overcome any difficulties that are keeping you from being the best version of yourself. I believe past unresolved difficult or traumatic experiences can have a great impact on your current life and relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual-bicultural, Spanish-English, PhD Level Clinician, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and coach. I have had the privilege to be in the mental health field for 21 years serving individuals, couples, and families in different settings such as inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment, intensive at home family therapy, and outpatient individual and couples therapy. My journey started as a Mental Health Technician in the United States Air Force, where I found my passion for helping others embrace their life journey. As a veteran and military spouse, I have had the pleasure to help individuals and couples, from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds, reach their therapeutic goals. I take pride in having an inclusive private practice by welcoming adults regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, or religious preferences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
In addition to being a therapist, I have presented to general audiences, as well as global conferences and groups on the topics of communication, building healthy relationships, family cohesiveness, conflict resolution, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and more. I also supervise clinicians who are working towards licensure. My personal life experiences, and my 20 year marriage provide me with unique perspectives that have been beneficial to those I serve. I have been an active member of social justice movements and enjoy bringing difficult social topics into my practice as they have a direct affect on individuals and couples.
