About My Clients
At Destiny Early Childhood Consulting & Developmental Services, we look at early childhood through a lens of potential, not deficit. I partner with families to build custom developmental roadmaps that honor your child’s unique, natural baseline. Inviting a professional into your family’s private life requires immense trust. I build that connection with you through transparency, collaboration, and clear progress tracking. We work as equal partners.
My Background and Approach
My practice is built entirely on a Constructivist, Neurodiversity-Affirming Framework. This means I firmly believe that children are not passive recipients of instruction; they are active creators of their own knowledge. They learn by doing, exploring, touching, and playing. • Child-Led, Play-Based Intervention: We do not sit at a desk drilling repetitive tasks. Instead, we use a constructivist play space where your child’s natural interests guide the session. If they are drawn to building blocks or sensory materials, we weave communication, emotional regulation, and motor skills directly into that preferred activity. • Strengths-Based intervention: We never focus on what your child 'can't' do. We identify their unique baseline strengths and gently bridge or scaffold the gap to their next developmental milestone. • Active Family Integration: Early intervention doesn't happen in a vacuum. My approach integrates parent coaching so that strategies used in our sessions can be transferred.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every child is born with an innate desire to learn, connect, and explore the world on their own terms. Early childhood developmental differences or delays should never be viewed as deficits to be “fixed” or trained out of a child. Instead, they are unique baselines that require thoughtful, individualized scaffolding to unlock a child's full potential. Children learn best through joy and autonomy. I believe that rigid, compliance-based methods that force a child into artificial routines strip away the joy of learning. When we honor a child's natural agency and utilize child-led, constructivist play, developmental milestones follow naturally.
