My Background and Approach
With over 15 years of experience as a Doctor of Psychology, I am a Texas Licensed Professional Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor and blend an empathetic approach with deeply rooted clinical expertise into our work together. My academic journey began at Virginia State University, a proud HBCU, where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in psychology with minors in English and modern dance, followed by a Master of Arts in School Counseling centered in psychology and marriage & family therapy. While my credentials reflect my commitment to the field, my true strength lies in the genuine care and seasoned skill I invest in every individual I serve. A native New Jerseyan, I've spent majority of my adult life in Los, Angeles, CA where I earned advanced degrees from Phillips Graduate Institute (now University,) & Argosy University, LA. My background includes decades of work as a professional choreographer & dancer which allows a uniquely nuanced, & empathetic approach to counseling.
