About My Clients

Some stress goes unspoken. The weight of navigating identity, acculturation, and belonging, or simply feeling like you have to hold it all together. I work with adults moving through anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic pain, and life transitions. Whether it's something new or something you've carried for a long time, you deserve a steady, judgment-free space where you feel seen, understood, and never judged, exactly as you are.

My Background and Approach

As a Latina, bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist, I hold a Doctorate in Psychology and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey, with clinical experience spanning trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, depression, and the stressors that come with navigating identity, acculturation, and belonging. My doctoral research focused on acculturation stress and discrimination within Latine communities, and that lens continues to shape how I understand the ways culture, environment, and lived experience influence mental health. In our work together, I lead with cultural humility and respect—meeting you where you are, in the language that feels most like home, and honoring the context of your life. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood on your own terms, so the challenges that once felt isolating become something we can face together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing is never separate from the world we live in. So much of what we carry, from anxiety to grief to self-doubt, is shaped by systems of oppression, colonization, racism, and the pressure to assimilate. My work is grounded in liberation psychology, decolonizing practice, and a commitment to social justice, so I don't treat your pain as a personal failing, but as an understandable response to environments never built with you in mind. From there, we draw on approaches that help you make meaning of your story, reconnect with your values, and move through what felt stuck, always centering the wisdom of your culture, community, and lived experience. I hold space for anger, grief, joy, and all that lies between, and I stand with LGBTQ+, immigrant, and BIPOC communities as an affirming, anti-racist therapist. Therapy isn't about helping you fit into a system that was never made for you. It's about reclaiming your voice, your worth, and your right to belong, exactly as you are.
