About My Clients
Most people who find their way to me already know a lot about themselves. They can see the overthinking, the relationship patterns, maybe even where it all started. What they can't figure out is why seeing it hasn't changed anything. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and relationships, as well as people who simply want a steady space to process life and keep growing. Together, we'll calm your nervous system and practice responding differently, so change actually sticks.
My Background and Approach
I'm a licensed marriage and family therapist with a doctorate in clinical psychology and 15 years of clinical experience. My master's and doctoral work focused on attachment, so I understand how the way you connect with others was shaped, and how it can change. For relationships, I trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy directly under its founder, Dr. Sue Johnson. That means practical, research-based tools for breaking the cycles that keep you stuck with the people who matter most. I'm also EMDR trained and an EMDRIA member. EMDR helps your brain process what talking alone can't reach, so old experiences stop running the present. I offer weekly sessions and 3-hour EMDR intensives, including for big events like weddings. My approach also considers brain and body health, because how you feel physically affects how you feel emotionally. Sessions are conversational, but always purposeful, so you leave with something you can actually use.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in doing the work myself. I've been in therapy, including EMDR, which is part of why I became an EMDR therapist. I know firsthand what it's like to understand something intellectually and still need help feeling it differently. Outside of work, I'm a mom, and family is at the center of everything. We travel often, including to Mexico, and to visit family in Montana and New Orleans. I value honesty, warmth, and a good sense of humor, in life and in therapy. You'll get all three from me.
